These Terms of Use govern access to and use of the AskToHeal.com Digital Biblical Counselor and related features, content, and services collectively called the "Service." The Service is operated by [FULL LEGAL NAME OF PERSON OR ENTITY], doing business as AskToHeal.com, referred to as "AskToHeal," "we," "us," or "our."

By checking the required boxes and selecting "I Agree and Enter the Counselor," you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and the Privacy and Safety Notice. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

You must separately accept these Terms before each new counseling session and whenever the Terms or Privacy and Safety Notice materially change.

2. Adults Only

The Digital Biblical Counselor is intended only for people who are at least 18 years old. You may not access or use it if you are under 18. Do not submit personal information about a child or allow a child to use the Service.

3. Nature and Purpose of the Service

The Service uses artificial intelligence to generate general biblical information, educational material, reflection prompts, and suggested communication approaches. "Digital Biblical Counselor" is the product name. It does not mean that a licensed counselor, ordained minister, pastor, chaplain, physician, attorney, social worker, or other professional is communicating with you.

The Service does not diagnose, prevent, monitor, or treat any physical or mental health condition. It does not provide psychotherapy, professional counseling, medical advice, legal advice, custody advice, financial advice, or emergency services. It does not establish a therapist client, physician patient, attorney client, clergy penitent, pastoral counseling, fiduciary, or other professional relationship.

The Service presents material from a Christian biblical perspective. It is educational and informational only. It does not speak for God, your church, your pastor, or every Christian tradition. You remain responsible for your own beliefs, decisions, communications, conduct, and safety.

4. Artificial Intelligence Limitations

Artificial intelligence can misunderstand facts, omit important context, generate false statements, misquote or misapply Scripture, and produce advice that is unsuitable for a particular person or situation. Never rely on an AI response as your only source for a significant medical, mental health, legal, financial, safety, custody, or relationship decision.

Review important matters with an appropriate qualified professional and, when relevant, a trusted local pastor or church leader who understands the full circumstances. You are responsible for independently evaluating and verifying every response before acting on it or sharing it.

5. Emergencies and Crisis Situations

The Service is not designed for emergencies, crisis response, suicide prevention, abuse reporting, missing person matters, threats, stalking, domestic violence, or situations involving immediate danger.

If you or another person may be in immediate danger, call 911 or the appropriate local emergency number. If you are in the United States and experiencing suicidal thoughts or emotional crisis, call or text 988. If you are outside the United States, contact your local emergency or crisis service.

Do not assume that AskToHeal will see, review, respond to, report, or act on anything you enter. The Service is not continuously monitored. We cannot guarantee that we will identify a crisis or contact emergency services, law enforcement, family members, clergy, or any other person on your behalf.

6. No Confidentiality or Legal Privilege

Do not treat the Service as a confidential communication channel. Communications with the Service are not protected by therapist client, physician patient, attorney client, clergy penitent, pastoral counseling, or similar legal privilege. Although we use reasonable safeguards, no internet service can guarantee absolute confidentiality or security.

Do not submit information that you would not want stored, processed by technology providers, reviewed by authorized personnel when necessary, or disclosed if legally required.

7. Information About Other People

You must respect the privacy and rights of other people. Do not submit another person's full name, contact details, medical information, private communications, photographs, account credentials, precise location, court records, or other identifying or confidential information.

Do not use the Service to diagnose another person, build accusations, create a false record, manipulate a family member, evade a court order, harass anyone, or plan confrontation or retaliation. When discussing a family conflict, use initials or general descriptions and include only the minimum information needed.

You represent that you have a lawful right to submit any content you provide. You are responsible for claims arising from content you submit unlawfully or your misuse of the Service.

8. Prohibited Uses

You may not use the Service to:

Threaten, harass, stalk, shame, defame, exploit, or impersonate another person.
Encourage violence, self harm, abuse, neglect, coercive control, retaliation, or illegal conduct.
Obtain instructions for wrongdoing or to avoid law enforcement, a court order, or a legal duty.
Submit unlawful, infringing, deceptive, malicious, or unauthorized content.
Collect or expose personal information about another person.
Interfere with security, test vulnerabilities without written permission, introduce malicious code, scrape content, overload the Service, or attempt unauthorized access.
Present an AI response as a professional diagnosis, expert opinion, legal authority, clinical record, or statement made by a human counselor.
Copy, resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the Service except with our prior written permission.

We may restrict or terminate access when we reasonably believe these Terms have been violated or use creates a security, legal, or safety risk.

9. User Content and Permission to Process It

You retain any rights you have in the text you submit. You grant AskToHeal and its contracted technology providers a limited, nonexclusive permission to host, transmit, reproduce, analyze, and process that content only as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the Service, comply with law, and enforce these Terms, subject to the Privacy and Safety Notice.

AskToHeal does not claim ownership of your personal story. We do not use identifiable Counselor conversations to train publicly available or general purpose AI models, and we contractually restrict our providers from doing so.

10. Intellectual Property

The Service, site design, software, original prompts, original educational material, logos, and other content supplied by AskToHeal are owned by AskToHeal or its licensors and are protected by applicable law. Scripture quotations and third party materials remain subject to their respective rights and permitted uses.

You may use an individual response for your personal, noncommercial purposes. You may not imply that AskToHeal endorses you, your ministry, your position in a dispute, or your use of any response.

11. Third Party Services and Links

The Service may rely on or link to third party providers, websites, crisis resources, churches, books, videos, payment processors, hosting services, analytics services, or artificial intelligence systems. AskToHeal does not control every third party and is not responsible for its content, availability, security, or privacy practices. Review third party terms and privacy notices before using those services.

12. Donations and No Purchase Requirement

The Digital Biblical Counselor is currently offered without charge. Donations are voluntary and do not purchase professional services, create a professional relationship, guarantee access, or influence the content of responses. Any separate donation or refund terms apply only to the donation transaction.

13. Disclaimer of Warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available." AskToHeal disclaims all express and implied warranties, including warranties of accuracy, reliability, availability, security, fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability, noninfringement, and that the Service will produce reconciliation, healing, safety, or any particular outcome.

We do not warrant that responses are biblically, clinically, medically, legally, or factually correct. Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or right that applicable law does not permit us to exclude.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, AskToHeal and its owners, officers, directors, employees, volunteers, contractors, licensors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, loss of data, emotional distress, loss of relationships, loss of opportunity, lost profits, or decisions or actions taken in reliance on the Service.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the total aggregate liability of AskToHeal arising from or relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid specifically to use the Digital Biblical Counselor during the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim or one hundred United States dollars.

These limits do not apply where prohibited by law and do not limit liability that cannot legally be limited, including liability for intentional misconduct where applicable.

15. Indemnity for Misuse

To the fullest extent permitted by law, you agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless AskToHeal and its owners, officers, directors, employees, volunteers, contractors, licensors, and service providers from third party claims, losses, liabilities, and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful content, your violation of another person's rights, or your intentional misuse of the Service. This section does not require indemnification for AskToHeal's own unlawful conduct and does not apply where prohibited by law.

16. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of [STATE], without regard to conflict of law rules. Subject to any rights that cannot lawfully be waived, the state and federal courts located in [COUNTY, STATE] will have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from the Service, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.

17. Changes, Suspension, and Termination

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service. If we materially change these Terms, we will post the revised version with a new effective date and require renewed acceptance before the next counseling session. Changes apply prospectively unless law permits otherwise.

18. General Terms

If a provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect to the fullest extent permitted by law. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms without our written consent. We may transfer these Terms as part of a merger, reorganization, financing, sale of assets, or transfer of the Service, subject to applicable law.

These Terms, the Privacy and Safety Notice, and any additional terms expressly presented for a feature constitute the entire agreement concerning the Digital Biblical Counselor.
